It's a beautiful bench. I really like it, but the top portion just looks unfinished like there should be more cross beams to the back. That's probably just my OCD talking.

Two questions; (1) Why 9ft. walls? (2) Why 7/12 pitched roof? High snow load? 5/12 is industry std. AND every foot of run / span =13 inches of hypotenouse making rafter layout simpler for the less educated.

I’m the last guy to ask. I always use too much glue followed by clamping too tightly. Never had one come apart but the clean-up can be cumbersome. Nice board by the way.

Looks great. But your method of checking for a perfect 45º angle doesnt work. If your board is perfectly flat, no matter what angle you cut it will = 90º. If you cut it at 50 the other side would be 40, still a perfect 90.

There's plenty of vids online of people making them but not how they make them. So will you be doing a build video on it? Please say yes haha

Hi James, Can I use red Cedar for the back and the armrest , And the rest of the chair with redwood. I have the plan for the regular chair. And I have a lot of red Cedar. I admire your approach to the fee for the plans, congrats. I had a Ridgid orbital sander, such as the one you are using in the video. I sold it because the sander was so squirrel, I couldn't control it as you seem to be doing so well. Great video and all the best. Dave & The Girls
